Eastern Neck Narrows up near the Chester River. There was almost no SAV in 2003 and look at how dense the SAV is in 2004 on both sides of the Narrows. Incredible spread in a year. We have had reports of up to 5 species in these beds. Having done this survey for over 20 years as well as looking at some of the historic data. This pattern of abundant beds in some years followed by declines to almost nothing and then full recovery in just a few years has been noted in the past.
