Table 1: Fish species caught in York River Guinea Marsh gill netting. Data from this study are divided into day (9 hours) and night (3 hours) totals. In addition, abundance data from Heck and Thoman (1984) are presented for these same species at Guinea Marsh between 1978 and 1980 (*). Heck and Thoman data are from 2 gill nets (300 ft, 3.0 inch mesh) over a 13 hour night-time sampling period.
