Chickahominy River (CHKOH)

In 2003, 172.03 ha of SAV were mapped for segment CHKOH, 128% more than in 2002 (75.43 ha). This segment accounted for 2.0% of the SAV in the Lower Bay Zone and a small portion (0.69%) of the Bay total.

SAV beds increased off Turner and Wilcox necks (Maps 210); north of Watts Point (Map 127); off Chickahominy Haven (Map 127); on the western shore of Old Neck (Map 127); in Eagle Bottom (Map 127); at the mouth of Blackstump Creek (Map 128); off Bush Neck and in Buzzard Bay (Map 128); and in Gordon Creek (Map 128).

SAV decreased in the upper portion of Morris Creek (Map 127); across from Nettles Creek (Map 127); in Tomahund Creek (Map 127); in Nayses Bay (Map 128); and at the mouth of Diascund Creek (Map 210).
