Service Description: Dynamic Series of layers from Hurricane Matthew in Central Virginia Beach, VA, Driven by Dr. Loftis at VIMS' (W&M) Street Level Hydrodynamic Model from 00:00-23:00 UTC on 10/9/2016. Model used spatially-varying rainfall inputs supplied by 21 rain gauges (12 of HRSD's and 9 from the City of Virginia Beach's), spatially varying soil infiltration defined by 1m resolution land cover data similar to Loftis et al.'s publication in the Journal of Coastal Research (2016), and tidal (Dirichlet) open boundary conditions provided by 3 USGS tide gauges near the edges of the domain's extent.
