Elk River (two images) Unbelievably dense beds almost all the way to the head of the river. These photos were taken on a day when it was windy but tides were extremely low given a good contrast between the very turbid water in the channel and the clear water in the SAV beds!!! Pretty impressive!! Also, note the turbidity plume as it goes past the mouth of the Bohemia River. Beds along the north shore are in much “clearer” water, which extends past the bed in deeper water. Look carefully at some of the beds in the Elk for a small zone of clear water coming off the beds.
